In 2001, Shawn Bennett and Melodi Doiron started Sparkwatch Registered Kennels and Dog Training, in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Sparkwatch breeds champion Golden Retrievers, and will soon be breeding Papillon puppies. They also offer training classes in a group environment, as well as individual lessons and private behavioral consultations. Sparkwatch Registered Kennels works with national and local kennel clubs to produce high quality dogs with excellent temperaments that have become valued members of families all over Ontario. At their weekly group classes, Sparkwatch Dog Training has helped dog owners of all breeds, in the Niagara Region, learn to understand and train their pets to be happy, friendly, obedient members of their families. Sparkwatch also offers private lessons and behaviour consultations to help owners deal with specific obedience issues, such as excessive barking, digging, house training, jumping and biting.
